mitwolle. Weil sie ein gutes Zeugnis mitgebracht, bin ich mit ihnen dann auch hingewesen. Es war nur sehr teuer. Für die Kinder je 1.- M. und für mich 2.- M. Löwen und Tiger hat Hagenbeck aber da vorgeführt. Das war eine Pracht!! Wirklich großartige, kolossale [unreadable word]. Der Bändiger legte sich auf ein Sopha und einer dieser mächtigen Löwen legte sich auf ihn und die anderen waren rund um ihn herum gruppiert. Das waren Augenblicke zum Beben. Und die Tiger! So große habe ich noch nie gesehen. Morgen schreibe ich weiter. Nocheinmal: gute Nacht mein geliebter Herzensschatz!!
[marginalia] So, jetzt ist wieder Abend geworden und der Brief[bote] hat nur die Karte vom 29.9. gebracht worauf du mir

The tamer lay done on a sofa, and one of these mighty lions lay down on him, and the others were grouped around him. Those were moments of trepidation. And the tigers! I've never seen such big ones. I will continue tomorrow. One more time: good night my beloved darling!!
