at it, but I am not permitted to speak of these incidents for reasons that you will doubtless readily appreciate. The war looks like going on for a while yet, altho' everything seems to be going in our favor. However no matter how long it lasts, I don't think there is any one I have met who wishes it to cease until our objects have been attained, and for that reason I am pleased to know that Conscription has been adopted in Canada and that the Canadian Forces may hope to get all the assistance that they are entitled to expect until the curtain is rung down on the whole terrible business.
