"Au peuple Belge. C’est à mon plus grand regret que les troupes allemandes se voient forcées de franchir la frontière de Belgique ... [signed] Le Général Commandant en Chef l’Armée de la Meuse, Von Emmich". Poster on brown paper. Appeal to the Belgian people for a clear path through Belgium for the German Army marching towards France. No harm will come to the population and the German army will reimburse supplies taken from the population. Mention of the battle of Waterloo. The first German publication in occupied Belgium.
