Well then I went to hear the mass in B Minor at The Albert Hall. I am enclosing programme with my comments written on. Albert Hall is a truly magnificent place for music. It is exactly a sphere with part of the sphere flattened at the bottom but is a little cold in appearance and feeling. (That's like saying it doesn't sound or smell cold which is a rather useless observation I find) (don't you) (Hi-ya) Then I went to see Noel Coward's play Blithe Spirit involving spiritualism and the complications of married life with a former wife returned in spirit by an enthusiastic but amateur spiritualist who couldn't get rid of her. The former wife plans to murder the living husband so she can be with him all the time and instead errs and accidentally kills the second wife and has to be with her all the time. It really was a splendid plot beautifully acted.
Well I sometimes wish you were here to enjoy the interest, with me, of busses, tubes, bookstores, flower carts, buildings, music, people and rations. But - There you are.
