Dear Ruth & Harry,
Just a line to say hello and all is well. Comfortable trip a bit long but undisturbed. One of our four who left before us had worse luck and arrived without a stitch (metaphorically) so we were just lucky -- Can you imagine a war artist sitting behind a gun with helmet and gas cape and life belt on up in a turret at 5'oclock in the morning?
England looked and is wonderful. I wish I could tell where we've been. However we are at Headquarters now settling down to facts. Were received yesterday by the Lord and today by the High Commissioner, Vincent Massey.
We are going to have every cooperation and everything is being done to free us to do our own creative work in war. First taking a tour of some stations then we shall live on one for a period living the whole active life of the fellows even going out on operations with them, then periodically return to London
