Balon, Josef, and Ostrau, Schlezisch in Moravia
F2a. November 1943 – February 1945. Rarity 2
C2d + and another unidentified circular marking
This is a letter from Josef Balon to his parents in Ostrau (Ostrava in Czech) a city in Moravia (called Marisch-Ostrau in German).
He thanks his parents for the money and impatiently awaits a parcel they have said they are sending which he hasn't received.
He says he is healthy but asks if possible they should send him something to eat, and if there isn't bread to cook something "green."
He sends greetings to family and friends as well as his sisters and brothers.
Fragile with tears to the folds.
