summary:
Feliks writes his father that he thanks God he is still well. He received letter of Feb.3rd '41and 4 stamps- he thanks for these and the money. He is glad they are all well and that Stanislaus and Kasimir are working. He asks his father to write to him about Feodor and Marian Borecki and asks how Heinrich Theimer (sp?) is working out. He asks what Johan Urbanski is doing and whether Uncle Johan is still at home. He says to write him whether Hedwig is tending to his mother's grave and sends kisses to his father, Hedwig, Kasimir and Stanislaus and greetings to all relatives.
Notes:
- Prisoner arrived at Auschwitz on 15 August 1940, then was transferred to Dachau between 1st April and 15 June 1941, only to come back to Auschwitz between 13 September 1942 and 30 January 1943 then transferred again this time to Buchenwald between 1st February and 18 April 1943. Letters are addressed to Josef Elzanowski in Wlochy (Poland).
-This prisoner arrived at Auschwitz camp on 15 August 1940. "August 15, 1940 – The first transport of prisoners from Warsaw, sent by the Warsaw Sipo and SD Commander enters Auschwitz C.C. In the transport are 513 prisoners from the Gestapo prison in Pawiak and 1153 inmates arrested in street raids. They are given nos. 1513-1899 and 1901-3179”. (Auschwitz Chronicle p.26).
