Letter of 4 full pages 8vo. 4-line cachet describing the rules of correspondence. Censor marking “Zenfiert”. At the end of the first page is a small wicker basket woven into the paper with remnants of some dried flowers. A 6-line quote signed “Dein Gluck”.

This is a letter from “marsh camp” (lagermoor) Aschendorfermoor dated February 1938. He was probably transferred from this marsh camp to Buchenwald. There were 15 marsh camps established between 1933 and 1938 and Aschendorfermoor was camp II. Mail from these marsh camps is extremely rare and this item is particularly interesting because the prisoner wove a small wicker-basket into the top of the letter in which he put dried flowers.
