Note 2 : « Based on an agreement between the Swede, Graf Bernadotte, and Himmler, Scandinavian prisoners – mainly Danish and Norwegian- from KZs and prisons in Germany and occupied countries were, during Marc/April 1945, collected at Neuengamme by the Swedish Red Cross. These prisoners, approx. 6,000 were rescued from Neuengamme by the “Jutland-Corps” and the “White busses”, i.e. trucks and busses set up by Danish and Swedish Red Cross. They left Neuengamme on April 20 and 21, 1945 and were transported to Denmark and neutral Sweden before German capitulation”
