Notes
In the address, Wisnicz Nowy is not designated as a prison but as a Arbeitslager, i.e. a work camp. Interesting item written by Urbanski before his transfer to Auschwitz.
The prisoner was transferred to Auschwitz from Wisnicz Nowy prison (see card from February 1940 and quote from the Auschwitz Chronicle).
June 20, 1940 – On orders of the head of the Krakow Sipo and SD, the second transport of 313 Polish political detainees is sent from the prison in Wisnicz Nowy. The inmates are given Nos. 759-1071 and are lodged in block 2 of the camp “ (Auschitz Chronicle p. 14)
