Probably one of the last letters to be sent from Mittelbau since the evacuation order was given two days later (on 3 April 1945). Most of the prisoners were sent on a “death march” towards Bergen-Belsen and Sachsenhausen. The absence of a stamp and of censorship on this letter gives an idea of the disorganization which prevailed during the last days of this camp.
