heute früh sind wir wieder nach
Borki mit Mann u[nd] Maus zurück=
gekehrt, nur ein Feldwebellauten ist mit
25 [begleit?] Mannschaften u[nd] 80 Russen in Wilenÿ
geblieben zum Entladen von eintreffenden
Kähnen. In Borki liegen [est.?] 40-60 Kähnen
zum entladen. Mehr will ich nicht über
militärische Angelegenheiten [...]ähnen u[nd]
[wann?] ich einmal ein [...] zu viel
[schriebe?] ist [erwühne?] du nichts [daran?],
denn es gibt immer Leute, die die
Ohren offen haben die schlecht sind u[nd]
Kapital daraus schlagen u[nd] man sieht es
klar nicht an, was sie beabsichtigen.
Es geht ja nun hier allenthalben warm
aber trotzdem wird hier immer noch
mit dem Winterfeldzug gerechnet. hoffen

Translation
This morning we returned again to Borki with the whole kit and caboodle, only one Staff Sergeant with 25 ... enlisted men and 80 Russians remained in Wilenÿ to unload the arriving rowboats. About 40-60 rowboats lie in Borki for unloading. I won’t say more concerning military matters since and I was once ... because there are always people, who have their ears open who are bad and capitalise on it and one does not perceive clearly what they intend.
