Letter opener, [1967]
Description
Letter opener given to J.B. Neilands at a banquet in a jungle shack on the eve of his departure from North Vietnam in March 1967. It was the custom to present each visitor with a small gift. The comb was carved from the remains of a downed U.S. airplane.
